Turn. Make sure to let everyone in the barn do not turn it on again until they know it is safe to do so. Locate a fixture where you want to add a light and place your ladder beneath it. Test the circuit of the fixture with the voltage tester by inserting the end of the tester in the socket of the bulb. Remove the nut cover and expose the wires when you are sure there is no power. Climb down the ladder and inspect your new light fixture. Read the manufacturer’s instructions for assembly then do a test drive so you do not have to figure it all out while you’re on top of the ladder. Attach any additions such as a protective waterproof place by the manufacturer.
Test new light by turning on the power. If it does not work, turn off the power, then repeat the above steps to check your work. When the light is functioning properly, reset the motion sensor switch then attach the front bezel. Check the motion sensor outdoor barn light once night falls to see it detects movement in the right area.
